Niykee is a song-writer who, despite her busy schedule, has managed to maintain a regular routine. Some of her personal highlights included being chosen by Snoop dogg to be his private assistant at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. Her songwriting routine is now a source of inspiration for hopeful producers. Niykee listens constantly to beats and finds many songs that inspire her. In just 5 minutes that I know if a particular beat is worthy of my time. After that I am able to see the concept of a song's whole concept inside my head and start to write. As I play my guitar on my front porch, words start to flow. Most of the time it is accomplished in 30 minutes. Niykee keeps working on her skills as a poet and the lyricist. She notes how the pain she experienced through the years can be a source of unusual motivation. She says that even when she is not writing about things that have actually happened the pain through her childhood and losing her younger sister find its way into the music. My songs are formed by this and I am able to see the bigger picture beneath everything. That's one of the elements that is crucial for me.
