Kellie Pickler was born the 28th of June, 1986 to Cynthia Morton Pickler and Clyde Raymond Pickler at Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. Her mother was barely sixteen when she fell pregnant with her. Her childhood was hard for her because her father had a relapse to drugs and alcohol, while Pickler's mother had left her at the age of 2. Morton was in charge of Pickler for two years but Pickler said that things were getting a bit difficult. "I was in the kitchen with my mom when I stated to her: 'I would rather die than be in this place.' She pulled out a knife, set it on the counter, then told me"Here, cut it after that.' The fourth grade was when she learned this. Naturally, I wouldn't be able to take it into consideration however it has caused an awful amount of emotional damage," she said. Court eventually gave Pickler to her grandparents when she was just 12 and Morton wasn't present at the session. Pickler was brought up by her grandparent's all through her entire life. Pickler cites them as being the most influential people in her life. Her grandmother Faye Pickler died from lung cancer in the month of January, 2002. she was continued to be raised by her grandfather. Pickler received her graduation diploma from the North Stanly in New London, North Carolina.
