Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimenez (born 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[5]] is a Mexican and American actor as well as film producer. Her career began in Mexico and she appeared in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) which resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were but a few of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) and the film she also produced, made her the first Mexican actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6Additionally, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to produce as well as starring in action films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico later on in her career.
